Non-event day parking at or near Wembley Stadium

On days that neither Wembley Stadium nor Wembley Arena are hosting events, parking at Wembley Stadium is actually a convenient option for those visiting Wembley, the London Design Outlet, or other nearby businesses or attractions. In addition to the car parks run by Wembley Stadium, there’s also the option of looking at other car parks within the vicinity. Their non-event-day parking prices are significantly lower than on event days.

Streetside parking near Wembley Stadium

Free residential streetside parking near Wembley Stadium on non-event days

Another option to consider on non-event days is to look at streetside parking near Wembley Stadium. While this is a viable option with plenty of unrestricted streets, parking here does come with some caveats. First and foremost is taking the local residents into consideration. The nearby streetside parking is almost exclusively available in residential areas, and as you can imagine, it doesn’t always sit right with locals when their streets are full of parked cars with the owners nowhere to be found. When parking on a residential street, be sure to park your car in a way that doesn’t obstruct traffic or block any driveways. Also remember that streetside parking doesn’t come with any of the securities that you could expect from a car park, such as security lighting, fencing, or CCTV cameras. Don’t leave any valuables visible in plain sight. Some unrestricted streets within a 10- to 15-minute walk from Wembley Stadium (ONLY available on non-event days) include:

  • Hillcroft Crescent HA9 8EE – 0.7 miles
  • Park Chase HA9 0FD – 0.8 miles
  • Oakington Avenue HA9 8JA – 0.7 miles
  • Beechcroft Gardens HA9 8ER – 0.8 miles
  • Park View HA9 6JX – 1.3 miles
  • Wyld Way HA9 6PU – 1.2 miles
  • Oakington Manor Drive HA9 6NA – 1.0 mile
  • Tudor Court North HA9 6SF – 0.9 miles
  • Clifton Avenue HA9 6BW – 0.8 miles

Pay-and-display streetside parking near Wembley Stadium

If you don’t like the idea of parking on unrestricted residential streets, you can consider making use of the Brent City Council’s pay-and-display parking bays. While there really isn’t an abundance of pay-and-display parking options, and it doesn’t change much in the line of security compared to residential streetside parking, you can rest assured that you won’t be running into any locals upset at you. You have two options regarding payment: either use the pay and display machines (look out for the local signage to find the closest one), or use the RingGo app. ParkingScout recommends going for the RingGo app, as it’s free to download and nets you an additional 50p in savings when compared to cash payments at the pay-and-display machines. When paying by app, 2 hours of parking will set you back £4, while the machine will charge you £4.50. Make sure to double-check the maximum stay period. Pay-and-display locations near Wembley Stadium can be found at:

  • Rutherford Way HA9 0GF – 0.3 miles
  • Park Lane HA9 7RH – 0.8 miles
  • Preston Road HA9 8NE – 1.3 miles

About Wembley Stadium

London’s “Cathedral of Football” and the home of the England national football team is one of the most iconic and recognisable sporting and event venues in the world, if not the most! Originally opened in 1923 as The Empire Stadium, it underwent a near-complete rebuild between 2003 and 2007 to become the state-of-the-art facility we know today. These days, the stadium boasts a searing capacity of 90,000 and is the largest stadium in the UK.

Over the decades, Wembley Stadium has hosted a plethora of landmark events that extend beyond football. It has hosted major rugby, boxing, and American football matches, is where the 2012 London Olympic Games kicked off, and was used as a venue for both the 1948 and 2012 Olympic Games. In addition to the rich sporting history associated with Wembley Stadium, it also boasts an impressive record as a stage for monumental entertainment events. Queen, Michael Jackson, Beyonce, Taylor Swift, and many more of the most famous entertainers throughout history have held sold-out concerts at Wembley Stadium.

Whether the crowd is spilling into the stadium to watch the FA Cup final, their famous artists in action, or to attend one of the many cultural events hosted at Wembley Stadium, it never fails to transcend the ordinary. This global landmark continues to bring people together under the banner of sport, music, and culture and is well worth a visit the next time you have the opportunity.
