Why Park and Ride in London?
With affordable parking in London so difficult to come by and ULEZ and Congestion Zone charges taking motorists for all they’re worth, Park and Rides are becoming a better alternative to driving into London on a day-to-day basis. Where there simply aren’t that many official Park and Ride services operating in the greater London area, there’s nothing stopping you from making your own. The best way to do this is to find parking at railway or metro stations –it’s usually significantly cheaper than parking within London– and then take rail transport to your final destination. We did the maths, and even when you consider the price of a rail ticket, it’s usually still the cheaper option compared to most parking in London.
Another big bonus to consider is that it completely cuts out whatever traffic you would face otherwise. Trains aren’t exactly known for getting stuck in traffic, and depending on your route and time of day, this option could save you plenty of time and frustration.
ParkingScout has you covered with options coming into London from all directions! For your convenience, we’ll include pricing and travel times to some of the busiest underground stations spread out over London as well.
Important note: the times we provided below are approximate and don’t include any time spent waiting for your train to arrive. Remember to check the departure schedule ahead of time to avoid having to wait for the next train for up to 30 minutes in some cases.
